Anna J. Evans started writing naughty books
in her mid-twenties, when she could still
remember in vivid detail all the scandalous
things she'd done in the name of love and fun
loving.
Within a year, Anna published her first books
with Ellora's Cave and received her first
Recommended Read. She
has gone on to
publish over a dozen books with EC, Samhain
Publishing, and NAL Heat, and in 2010 will
have her first release, Shadow Marked, with
Signet Eclipse.
These days, Anna divides her time between
writing books and wiping baby butts--both of
which give her extreme satisfaction. She's
married to a man who's just as sweet as he is
sexy and they live mostly-happily-ever-after in the south with their many children and absolutely no pets. Not even a fish.
FAQ:
Q: Are your stories based on real life/real encounters?
A: No, they are not. I have a vivid imagination. Good thing, because it isn't polite to kiss and tell.
Q: Don't you know that romance is between one man and one woman?
A: No, I don't. I think romance can happen between any number of consenting people/creatures/space aliens. But if you're looking for one man and one woman stories, I have those clearly marked on the books page. (Don't worry, the other ones are clearly marked too!)
Q: Why do you write as so many people? I'm confused.
A: I write as several people because I have several distinct voices/styles that feel organic to me. I'm sorry if that's confusing! If you're looking for hot stuff and sexy, paranormal romance, then Anna J. Evans' is your girl. If you're looking for historical, fantasy romance (also pretty hot, or so the people who read those books who haven't read my other stuff tell me), you'll want to take a look at Annaliese Evans' books. You can find her website here. (Yes, they're both me.)
And yes, I also have a young adult pen name. I do not disclose that name on this website, however, in the interest of keeping explicit material out of the hands of young readers who aren't looking for erotica. If Anna J. Evans or Annaliese Evans ever do start writing young adult, it will be clearly marked as such and located on a separate section of the website(s).
Q: Can you read my writing/critique for me/mentor me?
A: I would love to have the chance to mentor, but I am busier than a cat covering up shit--as my grandmother used to say. I have three pen names, two full time children, two part time children, and the compulsive need to keep my house clean. (I can't write in a dirty house. I really wish I could, but I can't. It's mild OCD, or so the professionals tell me.) I don't have time to mentor or critique, but I will send you good writing vibes if requested. Just shoot me an email with "Vibe Request" in the subject line. You can find my email on the contact page.
