There were many causes to the fall of the Roman empire.

One cause was the army was collapsing. Few people thought the empire was worth serving and fighting for. They had foreign soldiers fighting for them. Training and discipline collapsed. They could not protect themselves and their property. There was also a lack of soldiers.
